AMENDING CIRCULAR NO. 228/2009/TT-BTCDATED DECEMBER 7, 2009 OF THE MINISTRY OF FINANCE ON
GUIDELINES FOR THE ESTABLISHMENT AND USE OF PROVISIONS FORWRITE-DOWNS OF INVENTORY, LOSSES OF FINANCIAL INVESTMENTS,
BAD DEBTS, AND WARRANTY COSTS FOR PRODUCTS, GOODS, AND CONSTRUCTION PROJECTS AT ENTERPRISES THE MINISTRY OF FINANCE ISSUES THIS CIRCULAR TO AMEND CIRCULAR NO. 228/2009/TT-BTC DATED DECEMBER 7, 2009 OF THE MINISTRY OF FINANCE ON GUIDELINES FOR THE ESTABLISHMENT AND USE OF PROVISIONS FOR WRITE-DOWNS OF INVENTORY, LOSSES OF FINANCIAL INVESTMENTS, BAD DEBTS, AND WARRANTY COSTS FOR PRODUCTS, GOODS, AND CONSTRUCTION PROJECTS AT ENTERPRISES (HEREINAFTER REFERRED TO AS CIRCULAR NO. 228/2009/TT-BTC) AS FOLLOWS:
Article 1. Scope of Application.

Pursuant to Decree No. 14/2007/NĐ-CP dated January 19, 2007 of the Government detailing certain provisions of the Securities Law;
Pursuant to Decree No. 124/2008/NĐ-CP dated December 11, 2008 of the Government detailing and guiding the implementation of certain provisions of the Law on Corporate Income Tax;
Pursuant to Decree No. 118/2008/NĐ-CP dated November 27, 2008, of the Government stipulating the functions, tasks, powers, and organizational structure of the Ministry of Finance;
Clause 2 of Article 1 of Circular No. 228/2009/TT-BTC is repealed.
This Circular takes effect 45 days from the date of issuance and shall be applied starting from the fiscal year 2011. Any issues encountered during implementation should be promptly reported to the Ministry of Finance for timely resolution./.
Clause 2 of Article 1 of Circular No. 228/2009/TT-BTC is repealed.
Article 2. Implementation
This Circular takes effect 45 days from the date of signature and shall be applied from the fiscal year 2011. Any difficulties encountered during implementation should be promptly reported to the Ministry of Finance for timely resolution./.
