DECREE NO. 34-TC/GTBĐ OF APRIL 28, 1993 ISSUED BY THE MINISTRY OF FINANCE ON
REGULATIONS ON ALLOWANCES FOR WORKING ABROAD FOR PERSONNEL PERFORMING AIR MISSIONS IN THE CIVIL AVIATION SECTOR

Pursuant to the proposal of the Ministry of Transport and the Civil Aviation Administration of Vietnam, the Ministry of Finance hereby stipulates the allowance for working abroad based on flight hours for personnel performing air missions in civil aviation as follows:

1. The categories eligible for flight hour allowances include:

- Aircraft pilots including both chief and co-pilots

- Flight navigators, aircraft mechanics

Cabin crew

2. The specific rates of flight hour allowances are as follows:

In cases where aircraft are sent abroad for repair, the flight time will be compensated at the rates applicable to personnel flying abroad; the stay time abroad will be compensated with accommodation allowances according to regulations for personnel on official business in that country (as per Circular No. 37 TC/TCĐN dated June 18, 1991 and Circular No. 32 TC/TCĐN dated July 21, 1992 issued by the Ministry of Finance).

3. The aforementioned allowances replace travel expenses for personnel performing air missions as specified in Point 1 of this Circular and shall be included in the operating costs of the sector.

This Circular takes effect from January 1, 1993 and shall be applied when settling the 1992 year-end accounts of the Vietnam Airlines Corporation. All provisions contrary to this Circular are abolished.
