DECISION OF THE MINISTER OF TRANSPORT

Issuing the "Regulation on Examination, Issuance, Replacement of Professional Certificates for Seafarers, Drivers of Vessels, and Occupations of Seafarers of Inland Waterway Vessels" the driver of the vehicle and serving in the capacity of a crew member on inland waterway vessels"

THE MINISTER OF TRANSPORTATION

Pursuant to the Law on Inland Waterway Traffic dated June 15, 2004;

Pursuant to Decree No. 86/2002/ND-CP dated November 5, 2002 of the Government stipulating the functions, tasks, powers, and organizational structure of Ministries and ministerial-level agencies;

Pursuant to Decree No. 34/2003/NĐ-CP dated April 4, 2003 of the Government stipulating the functions, tasks, powers, and organizational structure of the Ministry of Transport;

Considering the proposal of the Director of the Personnel Department and the Director of the Vietnam Inland Waterways Administration,

DECISION:

Article 1. Attached to this Decision is the "Regulation on Examination, Issuance, Replacement of Professional Certificates for Seafarers, Drivers of Vessels, and Occupations of Seafarers of Inland Waterway Vessels".

Article 2. This Decision shall take effect fifteen days from the date of publication in the Official Gazette and shall replace Decision No. 3237/2001/QĐ-BGTVT dated October 2, 2001 of the Minister of Transport on the issuance of the "Regulations on Examination for Obtaining Professional Certificates and Occupations of Seafarers on Inland Waterway Vessels".

Article 3. The Heads of the Ministry's Office, Inspectorate, functional departments, Vietnam Inland Waterways Administration, Directors of Departments of Transport and Departments of Transport and Public Works, heads of organizations and individuals concerned are responsible for implementing this Decision./.
