CIRCULAR

Regarding the issuance of four National Technical Regulations on motorcycle and motorbike parts

Pursuant to the Law on Standards and Technical Regulations No. 68/2006/QH11 dated June 29, 2006, and the Government's Decree No. 127/2007/NĐ-CP dated August 1, 2007 detailing the implementation of certain provisions of the Law on Standards and Technical Regulations;

Pursuant to Decree No. 51/2008/NĐ-CP dated April 22, 2008 of the Government stipulating the functions, tasks, powers, and organizational structure of the Ministry of Transport;

Considering the proposal of the Director of the Science and Technology Department and the Director of the Vietnam Vehicle Inspection Agency;

The Minister of Transport hereby promulgates:

Article 1. Issued together with this Circular are four National Technical Regulations on motorcycle and motorbike parts as follows:

1. National Technical Regulation on fuel tanks for motorcycles and motorbikes

Code: QCVN 27:2010/BGTVT.

2. National Technical Regulation on rearview mirrors for motorcycles and motorbikes

Code: QCVN 28:2010/BGTVT.

3. National Technical Regulation on exhaust pipes for motorcycles and motorbikes

Code: QCVN 29:2010/BGTVT.

4. National Technical Regulation on frames for motorcycles and motorbikes

Code: QCVN 30:2010/BGTVT

Article 2. This Circular shall take effect six months from the date of issuance; it abolishes Decision No. 1636/2002/QĐ-BGTVT dated May 30, 2002 of the Minister of Transport on the issuance of industry standard 22 TCN 291-02 "Road Motor Vehicles - Motorcycle Exhaust Pipes - Technical Requirements and Testing Methods" and Decision No. 1635/2002/QĐ-BGTVT dated May 30, 2002 of the Minister of Transport on the issuance of industry standard 22 TCN 299-02 "Road Motor Vehicles - Two-Wheeled Motorcycle Frames - Technical Requirements and Testing Methods".

Article 3. The Director of the Ministry’s Office, the Inspector General of the Ministry, Heads of Departments, the Director of the Vietnam Vehicle Inspection Agency, Heads of agencies, organizations, and individuals related to this matter are responsible for implementing this Circular./.
