CIRCULAR

DECREE NUMBER 34-TC/GTBĐ OF APRIL 28, 1993 ISSUED BY THE MINISTRY OF FINANCE REGULATING THE ALLOWANCE SYSTEM FOR WORKING ON AIR MISSIONS IN THE CIVIL AVIATION SECTOR

AT THE PROPOSAL OF THE MINISTRY OF TRANSPORT AND THE VIETNAM CIVIL AVIATION ADMINISTRATION, THE MINISTRY OF FINANCE REGULATES THE ALLOWANCE SYSTEM BASED ON FLIGHT TIME FOR PERSONNEL PERFORMING TASKS IN THE AIR IN THE CIVIL AVIATION SECTOR AS FOLLOWS:

1. The categories eligible for flight hour allowances include:

- Aircraft pilots including both chief and co-pilots

- Flight navigators, aircraft mechanics

Cabin crew

2. The specific rates of flight hour allowances are as follows:

IN THE CASE OF TAKING AIRCRAFT ABROAD FOR REPAIR, THE TIME SPENT FLYING SHALL BE ENTITLED TO THE SAME RATES AS THOSE APPLICABLE TO STAFF FLYING OUTSIDE THE COUNTRY; THE TIME SPENT RESIDING ABROAD SHALL BE ENTITLED TO LODGING ALLOWANCES AS THOSE APPLICABLE TO STAFF TRAVELING TO THAT COUNTRY (IN ACCORDANCE WITH CIRCULAR NUMBER 37 TC/TCĐN OF JUNE 18, 1991 AND CIRCULAR NUMBER 32 TC/TCĐN OF JULY 21, 1992 ISSUED BY THE MINISTRY OF FINANCE).

3. The above allowances replace travel expenses for the personnel performing tasks in the air mentioned in Point 1 of this Circular and shall be included in the operating costs of the industry.

This Circular takes effect from January 1, 1993 and shall be applied when settling the 1992 year-end accounts of the Vietnam Airlines Corporation. All provisions contrary to this Circular are abolished.
