REGARDING THE TRANSFER OF THE CAT TIEN NATIONAL PARK BELONGING TO THE PEOPLE'S COMMITTEES OF DONG NAI, LAM DONG, AND BINH PHUOC PROVINCES TO THE MINISTRY OF AGRICULTURE AND RURAL DEVELOPMENT FOR MANAGEMENT

Pursuant to the Government Organization Law dated September 30, 1992;
Pursuant to the Land Law dated July 14, 1993;
Pursuant to the Management and Investment Regulations issued together with Decree No. 42/CP dated July 16, 1996 of the Government
Considering the proposal of the Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development (in Document No. 4734 NN-KH/Tr dated December 23, 1997), and the proposals of the People's Committees of the provinces: Lam Dong (Document No. 768/CV-UB dated May 19, 1997), Dong Nai (Document No. 3423/UBT dated August 7, 1997), and Binh Phuoc (Document No. 751/CV-UB dated May 20, 1997),
DECISION:
Article 1. Transfer the Cat Tien National Park to the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development for management;
The total area of the Cat Tien National Park is: 73,878 hectares, including:
- The Southern Cat Tien area under the management of Dong Nai Province with an area of: 38,100 hectares
- The Western Cat Tien area under the management of Binh Phuoc Province with an area of: 5,143 hectares
- The Cat Loc Nature Reserve under the management of Lam Dong Province with an area of: 30,635 hectares.
Article 2. The People's Committees of Dong Nai, Lam Dong, and Binh Phuoc Provinces shall be responsible for transferring the Cat Tien National Park in its current state, including land, assets, infrastructure, capital, management staff, labor... to the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development for management.
The Ministry of Finance shall be responsible for recording increases and decreases in capital and assets between the receiving and transferring parties.
Article 3. This Decision takes effect fifteen days from the date of signing. The Ministers of Agriculture and Rural Development, Planning and Investment, Finance, the Chairpersons of the People's Committees of Dong Nai, Lam Dong, and Binh Phuoc Provinces, the Director of the Cat Tien National Park, and the Heads of related agencies shall be responsible for implementing this Decision.
