THE MINISTER OF EDUCATION AND TRAINING

Pursuant to Decree No. 178/2007/NĐ-CP dated December 3, 2007 of the Government stipulating the functions, tasks, powers, and organizational structure of Ministries and ministerial-level agencies;

Pursuant to Decree No. 32/2008/NĐ-CP dated March 19, 2008 of the Government stipulating the functions, tasks, powers, and organizational structure of the Ministry of Education and Training;

Pursuant to Decree No. 75/2006/NĐ-CP dated August 2, 2006 of the Government detailing and guiding the implementation of certain provisions of the Education Law;

Pursuant to the results of the review on May 26 and 27, 2009, by the Advisory Council for the development of the framework curriculum for higher education in engineering fields;

At the proposal of the Director of the Department of Higher Education,

Article 1. This Circular issues the framework curriculum for higher education in engineering fields at bachelor's degree level, consisting of 16 framework curricula for the following 16 majors:

1. Mechanical Engineering.

2. Manufacturing Engineering.

3. Electronics Engineering.

4. Ceramic Engineering.

5. Marine Engineering.

6. Infrastructure Engineering.

7. Nuclear Engineering.

8. Telecommunications Systems Engineering.

9. Architectural Engineering.

10. Petrochemical Engineering.

11. Software Engineering.

12. Polymer Engineering.

13. Multimedia Engineering.

14. Transportation Engineering.

15. Technical Management.

16. Information Systems Engineering.

Article 2. This Circular takes effect from February 8, 2010. The framework curricula attached to this Circular shall be used in universities, academies, and colleges assigned the task of training these majors at the bachelor's degree level.

Article 3. Based on the framework curricula prescribed in this Circular, the Rectors of universities and academies, and the Principals of colleges shall organize the development of specific curricula for their institutions; organize the compilation and approval of textbooks for courses for official use in their institutions based on the review by the Textbook Review Board established by the Rector or Principal.

Article 4. The Heads of the Office, the Deputy Ministers in charge of Higher Education, the Heads of relevant units under the Ministry of Education and Training, the Rectors of universities and academies, and the Principals of colleges are responsible for implementing this Circular./.
