DECISION OF THE MINISTER OF TRANSPORT
Regarding the issuance of "Economic and Technical Standards for Management and Maintenance of Inland Waterways"

THE MINISTER OF TRANSPORTATION
BASED ON THE INLAND WATERWAY TRAFFIC LAW dated June 15, 2004;
Pursuant to Decree No. 86/2002/NĐ-CP dated November 5, 2002 of the Government stipulating the functions, tasks, powers, and organizational structure of Ministries and Ministerial-level agencies,
Pursuant to the Government Decree No. 34/2003/NĐ-CP dated April 4, 2003 on the functions, tasks, powers, and organizational structure of the Ministry of Transport;
Pursuant to Document No. 2221/BXD-KTTC dated December 27, 2004 of the Minister of Construction agreeing to the issuance and application by the Ministry of Transport of Economic and Technical Standards for Management and Maintenance of Inland Waterways;
At the proposal of the Director of the Investment Planning Department and the Director General of the Vietnam Inland Waterway Administration,
DECISION:
Article 1. The "Economic and Technical Standards for Management and Maintenance of Inland Waterways" are hereby promulgated together with this Decision.
Article 2. This Decision shall take effect fifteen days from the date of publication in the Official Gazette and shall supersede Decision No. 1809/1998/QD-BGTVT dated July 18, 1998 on temporarily issuing the "Economic and Technical Standards for Regular Repairs of River Routes".
Article 3. The Director General of the Vietnam Inland Waterway Administration shall be responsible for organizing the implementation of this Decision.
Article 4. The Heads of the Office, Inspectorate of the Ministry, Directors of the Departments of Investment Planning, Legal Affairs, Science and Technology, Finance, Directors of the Vietnam Inland Waterway Administration, Directors of Provincial Departments of Transport and Public Works, Heads of relevant organizations and individuals are responsible for implementing this Decision./.
