DECISION OF THE MINISTER OF TRANSPORT
Regarding the announcement of the dedicated channel for Trường Thọ
THE MINISTER OF TRANSPORTATION
Pursuant to the Law on Inland Waterway Traffic dated June 15, 2004;
Pursuant to Decree No. 86/2002/NĐ-CP dated November 5, 2002 of the Government stipulating the functions, tasks, powers, and organizational structure of Ministries and ministerial-level agencies;
Pursuant to Decree No. 34/2003/NĐ-CP dated April 4, 2003 of the Government stipulating the functions, tasks, powers, and organizational structure of the Ministry of Transport;
Pursuant to Decision No. 27/2005/QĐ-BGTVT dated May 17, 2005 of the Minister of Transport on inland waterway management;
Considering the Memorandum No. 1519/TTr-CĐS dated August 5, 2005 of the Vietnam Inland Waterways Administration and the Memorandum No. 327/KVMN-XDCB dated July 21, 2005 of the Southern Warehousing and Transportation Company proposing the Ministry of Transport to announce the dedicated channel for Trường Thọ;
At the proposal of the Director of the Planning and Investment Department,
DECISION:
Article 1. Now announces the dedicated channel for Trường Thọ (Hà Tiên Cement Channel) as a specialized inland waterway transport channel with the following contents:
- Type of inland waterway: Dedicated channel;
- Length of channel: 1.8 km (From Km0, which is the point where the centerline of the Saigon River meets the centerline of the dedicated Trường Thọ channel, to Km 1 + 800); - Technical grade: Grade 3 (According to TCVN 5664 - 1992);
Article 2. The Director of the Southern Warehousing and Transportation Company shall be responsible for organizing management, maintenance, and ensuring safety for waterway transport vessels operating on this section of the river.
Article 3. The Heads of the Ministry's Office, the Director of the Planning and Investment Department, the Legal Affairs Department, the Director of the Vietnam Inland Waterways Administration, the Director of the Transport Service Department of Ho Chi Minh City, the Director of the Southern Warehousing and Transportation Company, and the Heads of related units shall be responsible for implementing this Decision.
Article 4. This Decision takes effect fifteen days from the date of publication in the Official Gazette./.
