Regulations on Allowances for Specialized Forces Fighting Drug Crimes

PRIME MINISTER

Pursuant to the Law on Organization of the Government dated December 25, 2001;

Pursuant to the Law on Prevention and Control of Drugs dated December 9, 2000;

Pursuant to Decree No. 204/2004/NĐ-CP dated December 14, 2004 stipulating salary systems for civil servants, public officials, employees, and armed forces;

Considering the proposal of the Minister of Public Security, the Minister of Defense, and the Minister of Finance.

DECISION:

Article 1. The following regulations are hereby established regarding allowances for specialized forces fighting drug crimes under the Ministries of Public Security, Defense, and Finance:

- A monthly allowance of VND 500,000 per person for officers and soldiers directly combating drug crimes;

- A monthly allowance of VND 400,000 per person for officers and soldiers directly supporting the work of combating drug crimes.

Article 2. The funding for the allowances prescribed in Article 1 of this Decision shall be allocated within the annual budget of the National Target Program on Preventing and Combating Drugs in accordance with the State Budget Law.

Article 3. This Decision shall take effect fifteen days from the date of publication in the Official Gazette.

Abolish Decision No. 199/1999/QĐ-TTg dated October 6, 1999 of the Government Chairman stipulating allowances for the Drug Crime Prevention Police Force and Decision No. 215/2005/QĐ-TTg dated August 31, 2005 of the Government Chairman stipulating allowances for the Defense Ministry's anti-drug forces.

Article 4. The Ministry of Public Security shall take the lead and coordinate with the Ministry of Defense and the Ministry of Finance to guide the implementation of this Decision.

Article 5. THE MINISTERS, HEADS OF GOVERNMENT-LEVEL MINISTRIES, HEADS OF GOVERNMENT-LEVEL AGENCIES, AND CHAIRMEN OF PROVINCE AND CITY PEOPLE'S COMMITTEES DIRECTLY UNDER THE CENTRAL GOVERNMENT SHALL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR ENFORCING THIS DECISION./.
