CIRCULAR
ISSUING THE "NATIONAL TECHNICAL REGULATION ON MOBILE TERMINAL EQUIPMENT FOR TERRESTRIAL MOBILE SERVICES - RADIO ACCESS PART"
Pursuant to the Law on Standards and Technical Regulations dated June 29, 2006;
Pursuant to the Law on Telecommunications dated November 23, 2009;
WHEREAS, Decree No. 127/2007/NĐ-CP dated August 1, 2007 of the Government detailing and guiding the implementation of certain provisions of the Law on Technical Standards and Regulations;
Pursuant to Decree No. 78/2018/NĐ-CP dated May 16, 2018 of the Government amending and supplementing certain articles of Decree No. 127/2007/NĐ-CP dated August 1, 2007 of the Government detailing the implementation of certain provisions of the Law on Technical Standards and Regulations;
Pursuant to Decree No. 17/2017/NĐ-CP dated February 17, 2017, issued by the Government, on the functions, tasks, powers, and organizational structure of the Ministry of Information and Communications;
Pursuant to the proposal of the Director of the Science and Technology Department,
The Minister of Information and Communications issues this Circular stipulating National Technical Regulations on Ground Mobile Terminal Equipment - Access Radio Part.
Article 1.
The National Technical Regulation on Mobile Terminal Equipment for Terrestrial Mobile Services - Radio Access Part (QCVN 117:2020/BTTTT) is hereby promulgated together with this Circular.
(QCVN 117:2020/BTTTT).Article 2.
This Circular shall take effect from July 1, 2021 and replace Circular No.
02/2018/TT-BTTTTdated April 13, 2018 issued by the Minister of Information and Communications on the National Technical Regulation on Mobile Terminal Equipment for E-UTRA Services - Radio Access Part (QCVN 117:2018/BTTTT).
(QCVN 117:2018/BTTTT).Article 3.
Circular No. 22/2015/TT-BTTTTdated August 17, 2015 issued by the Minister of Information and Communications on the National Technical Regulation on Mobile Terminal Equipment for GSM Services and
Circular No. 23/2015/TT-BTTTTdated August 17, 2015 issued by the Minister of Information and Communications on the National Technical Regulation on Mobile Terminal Equipment for W-CDMA FDD Services shall cease to be effective from July 1, 2021.
Article 4.
Certificates of Conformity and Notifications of Acceptance of Declarations of Conformity for mobile phones using E-UTRA technology, whether or not integrated with W-CDMA FDD, GSM technologies, and for mobile terminal equipment for terrestrial services that are not mobile phones using E-UTRA, W-CDMA FDD, GSM technologies, which were issued before the effective date of this Circular and are still valid, shall remain applicable until their expiration date.
Article 5.
The Heads of the Office, Department Heads of the Science and Technology Department, Heads of agencies and units under the Ministry of Information and Communications, Directors of Provincial Departments of Information and Communications, and relevant organizations and individuals are responsible for implementing this Circular./.
