Pursuant to Decree No. 55/2003/NĐ-CP dated May 28, 2003 of the Government stipulating the functions, tasks, powers, and organizational structure of the Ministry of Industry;
Pursuant to the Electricity Law dated December 3, 2004; Decree No. 105/2005/NĐ-CP dated August 17, 2005 of the Government detailing and guiding the implementation of certain provisions of the Electricity Law;
Pursuant to Article 5 of Decision No. 276/2006/QĐ-TTg dated December 4, 2006 of the Prime Minister on electricity prices;
Based on the proposal of the Director of the Finance and Accounting Department.

Article 1. Issuing wholesale electricity prices for rural areas and wholesale electricity prices for collective residential areas and clusters of households to be uniformly applied nationwide as follows:
1. Wholesale electricity prices for rural areas:
a) Wholesale electricity prices for rural household consumption: 390 VND/kWh
b) Wholesale electricity prices for other purposes: 795 VND/kWh
2. Wholesale electricity prices for collective residential areas and clusters of households:
a) Wholesale electricity prices for household consumption:
+ Through customer transformers: 640 VND/kWh
+ Through supplier transformers: 650 VND/kWh
b) Wholesale electricity prices for other purposes: 860 VND/kWh
Article 2. The application of wholesale electricity prices in power purchase and sale contracts shall be carried out in accordance with the Circular guiding the implementation of electricity prices issued by the Ministry of Industry.
Article 3. Effectiveness
1. This Decision takes effect from January 1, 2007.
2. The Head of the Ministry's Office, the Inspector General of the Ministry, the Heads of relevant Departments of the Ministry, the Director of the Electricity Regulatory Authority, the General Director of Vietnam Electricity Group, and related power units are responsible for implementing this Decision.
