At the proposal of the Director of the Cinema Department.

Pursuant to the Law on Encouragement of Competition and Reward dated November 26, 2003;

Pursuant to Decree No. 185/2007/NĐ-CP dated December 25, 2007 of the Government stipulating the functions, tasks, powers, and organizational structure of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism;

Considering the proposal of the Chairman of the Encouragement of Competition and Reward Council under the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Director of the Department of Encouragement of Competition and Reward.

DECISION:

Article 1. The following are promulgated along with this Decision:

1. The Commemorative Medal "For the Cultural, Sports and Tourism Cause" shall be awarded to individuals who have made significant achievements, long years of service, and contributions to the cause of building and developing the Cultural, Sports and Tourism sector.

2. The Regulation on awarding the Commemorative Medal "For the Cultural, Sports and Tourism Cause".

Article 2. This Decision shall take effect fifteen days after its publication in the Official Gazette, superseding Decision No. 1727/QĐ-UBTDTT dated November 26, 2004 of the Minister in charge of the State Committee for Physical Culture and Sports on the issuance of the Commemorative Medal "For the Physical Culture and Sports Cause", Decision No. 1728/2004/QĐ-UBTDTT dated November 26, 2004 of the Minister in charge of the State Committee for Physical Culture and Sports on the issuance of the Regulation on awarding the Commemorative Medal "For the Physical Culture and Sports Cause", Decision No. 250/TCDL-QĐ dated July 7, 2000 of the General Director of the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism on the issuance of the Medal and the Regulation on awarding the Medal "For the Tourism Cause", and Decision No. 82/2004/QĐ-BVHTT dated August 27, 2004 of the Minister of Culture and Information on the issuance of the Commemorative Medal and the Regulation on awarding the Commemorative Medal "For the Cultural and Information Cause".

Article 3. The Heads of the Office, the Chairman of the Encouragement of Competition and Reward Council under the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the Director of the Department of Encouragement of Competition and Reward, the Heads of agencies and units under the Ministry, the Directors of Provincial Departments of Culture, Sports and Tourism, central cities, relevant agencies, organizations, and individuals are responsible for implementing this Decision./.
