Issuing the regulation on selecting outstanding students

THE MINISTER OF EDUCATION AND TRAINING

Pursuant to the Government Decree No. 86/2002/NĐ-CP dated November 5, 2002, stipulating the functions, tasks, powers, and organizational structure of ministries and ministerial-level agencies;

Pursuant to the Government Decree No. 85/2003/NĐ-CP dated July 18, 2003, stipulating the functions, tasks, powers, and organizational structure of the Ministry of Education and Training;

Pursuant to Decree No. 75/2006/NĐ-CP dated August 2, 2006 of the Government detailing and guiding the implementation of certain provisions of the Education Law;

At the proposal of the Director of the Department of Examinations and Quality Assurance,

DECISION:

Article 1. This Decision promulgates the Regulation on the examination for selecting outstanding students.

Article 2. The Standard Measurement Quality Control Department shall be responsible for organizing and guiding the implementation of the Regulations adopted herein.

Repeals Decision No. 65/1998/QĐ-BGD&ĐT dated December 18, 1998 of the Minister of Education and Training on issuing the Regulation on the examination for selecting outstanding students of grade 12 secondary schools; Decision No. 41/1999/QĐ-BGD&ĐT dated December 10, 1999, Decision No. 44/2001/QĐ-BGD&ĐT dated November 12, 2001, Decision No. 05/2004/QĐ-BGD&ĐT dated March 1, 2004, Decision No. 05/2005/QĐ-BGD&ĐT dated February 17, 2005, and Decision No. 04/2006/QĐ-BGD&ĐT dated January 26, 2006 of the Minister of Education and Training on amending and supplementing certain articles of the Regulation on the examination for selecting outstanding students of grade 12 secondary schools.

Repeals Decision No. 18/2006/QĐ-BGDĐT dated May 11, 2006 of the Minister of Education and Training on issuing the Regulation on the examination for selecting secondary school students to join national teams participating in international and regional cultural Olympiads.

Article 3. The Head of the Office; the Director of the Department of Examinations and Quality Assurance; Heads of units under the Ministry of Education and Training; Chairpersons of People's Committees of provinces and centrally governed cities; Directors of Departments of Education and Training; Directors of the Vietnam National University, Hanoi, and the Vietnam National University, Ho Chi Minh City; Principals of universities with specialized secondary school classes and Principals of the Ethnic Minority Boarding Secondary School under the Ministry of Education and Training are responsible for implementing this Decision./.
