LETTER
OF THE MINISTRY OF FINANCE NUMBER 5244TC/VP DATED MAY 20, 2003 REGARDING CORRECTING THE EFFECTIVE DATE FOR IMPLEMENTATION OF LEGAL DOCUMENTS

The Ministry of Finance requests to correct the effective date for implementation of legal documents due to errors during drafting as follows:
- Point 3 of Circular No. 47/2003/TT-BTC dated May 15, 2003 issued by the Ministry of Finance guiding amendments to Circular No. 25/2003/TT-BTC dated March 28, 2003 of the Ministry of Finance on the collection, payment, management, and use of fines for administrative violations in traffic safety regulations stipulates:
"Point 3. This circular takes effect from the date Decree No. 15/2003/NĐ-CP dated February 19, 2003 issued by the Government on penalties for administrative violations related to road traffic becomes effective."
It is now proposed to amend as follows:
"Point 3. This circular takes effect fifteen days after its publication in the Official Gazette."
- The beginning of Article 3 of Decision No. 70/2003/QĐ-BTC dated May 15, 2003 issued by the Minister of Finance on the deadline for finalizing revenue and expenditure records to support state-owned enterprise investments stipulates:
"Article 3. This decision takes effect from the date Resolution No. 02/2003/NQ-CP of the Government becomes effective."
It is now proposed to amend as follows:
"Article 3. This decision takes effect fifteen days after its publication in the Official Gazette.
The Ministry of Finance hereby informs you for your reference when implementing.
