Decree-Law No. 53 Regarding the Appointment of Mr. Do Duc Kien to the Position of Director of the Office of the Ministry of National Defense and Director of the Office of the Chief Commander

DECREE

NO. 53 DATE September 18, 1949

PRESIDENT

VIETNAMESE DEMOCRATIC REPUBLIC

Pursuant to Decree No. 57 dated May 3, 1946 organizing the Ministries;

Pursuant to Decree No. 50-SL dated June 18, 1949 organizing the Ministry of National Defense;

Pursuant to Decree No. 5-SL dated February 1, 1949 appointing Mr. Nguyen Thuong as Director of the Office of the Ministry of National Defense and concurrently as Director of the Office of the General Command;

At the proposal of the Minister of National Defense and Commander-in-Chief of the National Army and People's Militia of Vietnam;

By resolution of the Council of Ministers;

ISSUES THE FOLLOWING DECREE:

Article 1

Mr. Do Duc Kien, former Political Director of the Intermediate Military School, is hereby appointed as Director of the Office of the Ministry of National Defense and concurrently as Director of the Office of the General Command, replacing Mr. Nguyen Thuong who has been reassigned to another position.

Article 2

Decree No. 5-SL dated February 1, 1949 is hereby repealed.

Article 3

The Minister of National Defense and Commander-in-Chief of the National Army and People's Militia of Vietnam shall implement this decree accordingly.
