DECISION OF THE MINISTER OF AGRICULTURE AND RURAL DEVELOPMENT
Regarding the issuance of the list

 of crop varieties that must publish quality standards

THE MINISTER OF AGRICULTURE AND RURAL DEVELOPMENT

Pursuant to the Quality of Goods Ordinance dated December 24, 1999;

Pursuant to Government Decree No. 73/CP dated November 1, 1995 on the functions, tasks, powers, and organizational structure of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development;

Pursuant to Government Decree No. 07/CP dated February 5, 1996 on the management of crop varieties;

Pursuant to Government Decree No. 86/CP dated December 8, 1995 on the division of responsibilities for state management of goods quality;

Considering the proposal of the Director of the Plant Protection and Forestry Promotion Department and the Head of the Science and Technology and Product Quality Department,

DECISION:

Article 1: Issued together with this Decision:

List of crop varieties that must publish quality standards.

Article 2: In each period, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development will adjust the names of crop varieties in the aforementioned list to meet the needs for production and business.

Article 3: This Decision shall take effect fifteen days from the date of publication in the Official Gazette.

Article 4: The Heads of the Ministry's Office, the Director of the Plant Protection and Forestry Promotion Department, the Head of the Science and Technology and Product Quality Department, the Directors of the Departments of Agriculture and Rural Development of provinces and centrally-administered cities, the Heads of related agencies, organizations, and individuals both within and outside Vietnam who are involved in the production and business of crop varieties in Vietnam are responsible for implementing this Decision.

LIST OF CROP VARIETIES THAT MUST
PUBLISH QUALITY STANDARDS

A. GRAIN CROPS

1. Rice: rice varieties for production and business.

2. Corn: corn varieties for production and business.

B. INDUSTRIAL AND FRUIT TREES

1. Peanut: peanut varieties for production and business.

2. Soybean: soybean varieties for production and business.

3. Tea: stem cuttings of varieties LDP1, LDP2, Shan.

4. Cashew: cashew varieties propagated by grafting.

5. Coffee: coffee varieties Robusta and Arabica propagated by seeds and grafting.

6. Mango: mango varieties GL1, GL2, GL6, Cat Hoa Loc, Cat Chu propagated by grafting.

7. Longan: longan varieties Lantern, Peel, Peel Deaf, Sugar Crystal, Pepper Hide, Pepper Leaf Bowl, Boat Hull propagated by grafting and branch cutting.

8. Lychee: lychee varieties Thanh Ha (Thanh Son), Phu Ho propagated by grafting and branch cutting.

9. Durian: durian varieties Moon Thoong, RI6, Golden Rice Husk Seedless propagated by grafting.

10. Rambutan: rambutan varieties Java, Label propagated by grafting.

11. Citrus Trees: (propagated by grafting and branch cutting).

Tangerine: Tangerine Sanh, Tangerine Soc Daot, Tangerine Song Con.

Mandarin: Mandarin Tieu, Mandarin Road.

Pomelo: Pomelo Dien, Pomelo Suu, Pomelo Bang Luan (Doan Hung), Pomelo Phuc Trach, Thanh Tra, Pomelo Five Roi, Pomelo Road Leaf Orange, Pomelo Green Peel.

12. Pineapple: pineapple varieties Cayen and Queen propagated by shoot separation and stem cutting.

13. Mangosteen: mangosteen variety.

C. VEGETABLES

1. Turnip

Turnip seed varieties for production and business.

2. Radish

Radish seed varieties for production and business.

3. Cabbage

Cabbage seed varieties for production and business.

4. Tomato

Tomato seed varieties for production and business.

5. Cucumber

Cucumber seed varieties for production and business.

6. Watermelon

Watermelon seed varieties for self-pollination and hybrid watermelon seed varieties.
