Regarding the issuance of the National Gender Development Indicators

Pursuant to the Law on Organization of the Government dated December 25, 2001;
Pursuant to the Law on Statistics dated June 26, 2003;
Pursuant to the Gender Equality Law dated November 29, 2006;
Pursuant to the Decree No. 40/2004/NĐ-CP dated February 13, 2004 of the Government detailing and guiding the implementation of certain provisions of the Law on Statistics;
Pursuant to the "Programme of Action of the Government for the period up to 2020 to implement Resolution No. 11-NQ/TW dated April 27, 2007 of the Politburo on women's work during the period of accelerating industrialization and modernization of the country" issued together with Resolution No. 57/NQ-CP dated December 1, 2009 of the Government;
The Prime Minister issues this Decision on principles, criteria, and allocation standards for state budget investment capital development phase 2016-2020.
DECISION:
Article 1. The National Gender Development Indicators are hereby issued together with this Decision.
Article 2. The National Gender Development Indicators are tools for collecting gender statistics data aimed at monitoring and evaluating the situation of gender development, the progress of women and gender equality across economic and social sectors, meeting the needs for gender statistics information of the Government of Vietnam and other organizations and individuals.
Article 3. Pursuant to the National Gender Development Indicators issued in this Decision and the National Statistical Indicator System issued in Decision No. 43/2010/QĐ-TTg dated June 20, 2010 of the Prime Minister, the Ministers, Heads of Ministries equivalent to Ministries, Heads of Government Agencies, Chief Procurator of the Supreme People's Procuracy, President of the Supreme People's Court shall issue the statistical indicator system within their respective ministries, sectors, or fields (if not yet established) or supplement new statistical indicators and adjust existing ones based on professional and technical reviews by the Ministry of Planning and Investment (General Statistics Office).
Article 4. The Minister of Planning and Investment is responsible for standardizing the purpose, meaning, concepts, content, calculation methods, classification, and data sources of each indicator in the National Gender Development Indicators and issuing the provincial, district, and commune-level Gender Development Indicators for uniform implementation throughout the country.
Article 5. Relevant agencies within their respective functions and authorities shall collect and compile the assigned indicators in the National Gender Development Indicators, provide them to the Ministry of Planning and Investment (General Statistics Office) for consolidation, compilation, and publication.
Article 6. This Decision takes effect from December 1, 2011.
Article 7. The Ministers, Heads of Ministries equivalent to Ministries, Heads of Government Agencies, Chairmen of Provincial People's Committees under the direct jurisdiction of the Central Government, and Heads of related agencies and organizations are responsible for implementing this Decision.
