Decree No. 57/2009/NĐ-CP amends and supplements Clause 3 of Article 8 of Decree No. 12/2007/NĐ-CP dated January 17, 2007 of the Government on citizens serving for a limited term in the People's Public Security Forces.

Amending and supplementing Clause 3 of Article 8 of Decree No. 12/2007/NĐ-CP

dated January 17, 2007 of the Government

on citizens serving for a limited term in the People's Public Security Forces

THE GOVERNMENT

Pursuant to the Law on Organization of the Government dated December 25, 2001;

Pursuant to the Public Security Law dated November 29, 2005;

Considering the proposal of the Minister of Public Security,

DECREE:

Article 1. Amending Clause 3 of Article 8 of Decree No. 12/2007/NĐ-CP dated January 17, 2007 of the Government on citizens serving for a limited term in the People's Public Security Forces, as follows:

"3. During their service period, non-commissioned officers and soldiers serving for a limited term shall enjoy benefits and policies as prescribed in the Law on the People's Public Security Forces, relevant Decrees of the Government, and shall also enjoy the following benefits and policies:

a) Non-commissioned officers and soldiers serving for a limited term from the 19th to the 24th month shall be entitled to an additional 200% of the rank allowance each month;

b) Non-commissioned officers and soldiers serving for a limited term from the 25th to the 36th month shall be entitled to an additional 250% of the rank allowance each month;

c) Non-commissioned officers and soldiers serving for a limited term shall be counted as members of their household when the household is granted or adjusted the area of housing, land for building houses, and agricultural land."

Article 2. This Decree takes effect from September 1, 2009.

Article 3. The Minister of Public Security shall provide detailed guidance on the implementation of this Decree.

Ministers, Heads of ministerial-level agencies, Heads of government-affiliated agencies, Chairpersons of provincial People's Committees directly under the Central Government shall be responsible for implementing this Decree.
