Considering the proposal of the Chairman Within 10 working days from the date of receipt of the dossier as mentioned in Sub-clause b, Clause 1, Article 3 above, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs will review and submit to the competent authority for decision (Issues exceeding the Ministry of Foreign Affairs' jurisdiction will be referred to the Prime Minister for consideration and decision).The People's Committee of Hung Yen province and the Minister, Head of the Civil Service Department under the Government,
DECREE:
Article 1. Now, the administrative boundaries are adjusted and the My Van and Chau Giang districts are divided to re-establish the districts of My Hao, Van Lam, Yen My, Khoai Chau, and Van Giang, Hung Yen province as follows:
1. Divide My Van district into three districts: My Hao, Van Lam, and Yen My; adjust five communes: Minh Chau, Viet Cuong, Yen Phu, Yen Hoa, and Hoan Long (from Chau Giang district) to be under Yen My district. Adjust two communes Nghia Tru and Vinh Khuc to be under Van Giang district.
My Hao district has 7,152.9 hectares of natural area and 80,987 population, comprising 13 administrative units which are communes: Nhan Hoa, Phan Dinh Phung, Cam Xa, Duong Quang, Hoa Phong, Minh Duc, Ngoc Lam, Bach Sam, Hung Long, Di Su, Phung Chi Kien, Xuan Duc, and the town of Ban Yen Nhan.
Administrative boundary of My Hao district: East borders Hai Duong province; West borders Yen My and Van Lam districts; South borders An Thi district; North borders Van Lam district.
Van Lam district has 6,818.4 hectares of natural area and 92,301 population, comprising 11 administrative units which are communes: Tan Quang, Lac Dao, Dai Dong, Chi Dao, Viet Hung, Luong Tai, Minh Hai, Lac Hong, Trung Trac, Ding Due, and the town of Nhu Quynh.
Administrative boundary of Van Lam district: East borders Hai Duong province; West borders Van Giang district; South borders My Hao district; North borders Bac Ninh province.
Yen My district has 9,004.7 hectares of natural area and 121,927 population, comprising 17 administrative units which are communes: Giai Pham, Dong Than, Ngoc Long, Thanh Long, Nghia Hiep, Lieu Xa, Tan Lap, Trung Hung, Ly Thuong Kiet, Tan Viet, Trung Hoa, the town of Yen My, and five communes (transferred from the old Chau Giang district) Minh Chau, Viet Cuong, Yen Phu, Yen Hoa, and Hoan Long.
Administrative boundary of Yen My district: East borders My Hao district; West borders Khoai Chau district; South borders An Thi district; North borders Van Giang and Van Lam districts.
2. Divide Chau Giang district into two districts: Khoai Chau and Van Giang.
Khoai Chau district has 13,073.1 hectares of natural area and 184,079 population, comprising 25 administrative units which are communes: Dong Tao, Da Trach, Ham Tu, Ong Dinh, Binh Minh, An Vi, Binh Kieu, Tan Dan, Dong Ket, Tu Dan, Tan Chau, Dong Ninh, Dai Tap, Lien Khe, Chi Tan, Nhu Duong, Dai Hung, Thuan Hung, Thanh Cong, Phung Hung, Viet Hoa, Hong Tien, Dong Tien, Dan Tien, and the town of Khoai Chau.
Administrative boundary of Khoai Chau district: East borders Yen My and An Thi districts; West borders Ha Tay province; South borders Kim Dong district; North borders Van Giang and Yen My districts.
Van Giang district has 7,316.8 hectares of natural area and 91,780 population, comprising 11 administrative units which are communes: Xuan Quang, Phung Cong, Thang Loi, Lien Nghia, Me So, Cuu Cao, Long Hung, Tan Tien, the town of Van Giang, and two communes (transferred from the old My Van district) Nghia Tru and Vinh Khuc.
Administrative boundary of Van Giang district: East borders Van Lam and Yen My districts; West borders Hanoi city and Ha Tay province; South borders Khoai Chau district; North borders Hanoi city.
Article 2. This Decree shall take effect fifteen days from the date of issuance. All previous regulations contrary to this Decree are hereby abolished.
Article 3. The Chairman of the People's Committee of Hung Yen province, the Minister, Head of the Civil Service Department under the Government, and Heads of related agencies are responsible for implementing this Decree.
