Regarding the adjustment of administrative boundaries of communes and wards;
establishment of a ward under Tan An town, Long An province

THE GOVERNMENT
Pursuant to the Law on Organization of the Government dated December 25, 2001;
Considering the proposal of the Minister of Home Affairs and the People's Committee of Long An province.
DECREE:
Article 1. Now, the administrative boundaries of communes and wards are adjusted; a ward is established under Tan An town, Long An province as follows:
1. Establish Ward 7 under Tan An town based on the adjustment of 185.09 hectares of natural area and 1,475 population from An Vinh Ngai commune; 45.65 hectares of natural area and 343 population from Binh Tam commune; 141.93 hectares of natural area and 2,410 population from Ward 3.
Ward 7 has 372.67 hectares of natural area and 4,228 population.
Administrative boundary of Ward 7: East borders Binh Tam commune; West borders Baodinh River - Ward 4; South borders An Vinh Ngai commune; North borders Ward 3.
After adjusting the administrative boundaries:
- An Vinh Ngai commune retains 675.60 hectares of natural area and 4,227 population.
Administrative boundary of An Vinh Ngai commune: East borders Hoa Phu commune, Chau Thanh district; West borders Tan Khanh ward; South borders Trung Hoa commune, Cho Gao district, Tien Giang province; North borders Ward 7.
- Binh Tam commune retains 595.64 hectares of natural area and 4,136 population.

2. Adjusting the administrative boundaries of Khanh Hau commune; establishing Tan Khanh ward and Khanh Hau ward under Tan An town.
a) Establish Tan Khanh ward based on the adjustment of 696 hectares of natural area and 5,523 population from Khanh Hau commune.

Khanh Hau ward has 388.7 hectares of natural area and 5,052 population.
Administrative boundary of Khanh Hau ward: East borders Tan Khanh ward; West borders Tan Hoi Dong commune, Chau Thanh district, Tien Giang province; South borders Tan Huong commune, Chau Thanh district, Tien Giang province; North borders Lioi Binh Nhon commune, Ward 6, Tan An town.
3. After adjusting the administrative boundaries, Tan An town has 8,179.3 hectares of natural area and 121,337 population, with 14 subordinate administrative units including Wards 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, Tan Khanh, Khanh Hau, and Communes Hoang Tho Phu, Nhon Thanh Trung, Lioi Binh Nhon, Binh Tam, An Vinh Ngai.
Article 2. This Decree takes effect 15 days after its publication in the Official Gazette. All previous regulations contrary to this Decree are abolished.
Article 3. The Minister of Home Affairs, the People's Committee of Long An province, and the heads of relevant agencies are responsible for implementing this Decree./.
