DECREE OF THE MINISTER OF LABOR
REGULATING THE RECRUITMENT OF WORKERS TO WORK FOR
NATIONAL ENTERPRISES OR TEMPORARILY FOR THE GOVERNMENT
THE MINISTER OF LABOR
Pursuant to Ordinance No. 226/SL dated April 28, 1946 organizing the Ministry of Labor;
Pursuant to Ordinance No. 77/SL dated May 22, 1950 establishing regulations for workers assisting the Government;
Pursuant to Ordinance No. 104/SL dated January 1, 1948 establishing national enterprises.
DECREE:
Article 1. - The conditions for recruitment, wages issued to workers of national enterprises and temporary workers for the Government shall be determined in contracts signed between the management authority and the workers or their representatives.
Article 2. - Contracts may be signed with an individual worker or with a group of workers represented by a trade union.
Article 3. - The minimum wage shall not be lower than the minimum wage prescribed for workers assisting the Government.
Article 4. - The levels of hazardous work allowances, health wear-and-tear allowances, and productivity bonuses shall also be determined in the contracts according to the industry.
Article 5. - Workers working in areas with harsh climates shall be provided with medical supplies by the enterprise.
Article 6. - The working conditions stipulated in Ordinance No. 77-SL dated May 22, 1950, in the following chapters:
Chapter IV deals with working hours, annual leave, rules during illness, and maternity leave.
Chapter V, Articles 38, 39, 40, and 41 deal with workers who die or suffer workplace accidents.
Chapter VI deals with vocational training systems. These apply to workers of national enterprises.
Article 7. The Director of the Office of the Ministry of Labor, the Chairmen of the Anti-French Resistance Administrative Committees of the regions shall implement this decree./.
