PRIME MINISTER
Pursuant to the Government Organization Law dated September 30, 1992;
Pursuant to the Education Law dated December 2, 1998;
Pursuant to Decree No. 43/2000/NĐ-CP dated August 30, 2000 of the Government detailing and guiding the implementation of certain provisions of the Education Law;
Considering the proposal of the Minister of Education and Training at Circular No. 8908/TCCB dated September 25, 2000, and the proposal of the People's Committee of Nghe An Province at Circular No. 2052 UB-VX dated August 18, 2000,
DECISION:
Article 1. Renames Vinh Pedagogical University as Vinh University.
Article 2. Vinh University is a higher education institution under the Ministry of Education and Training; the university has legal personality, its own seal, and separate accounts.
Article 3. Vinh University shall have the following tasks:
1. To train university-level teachers and gradually expand other training fields in accordance with the school's capacity and social human resource needs.
2. RESEARCH FOR ECONOMIC AND SOCIAL DEVELOPMENT.
Article 4. This Decision takes effect fifteen days from the date of signature; all previous regulations that conflict with this Decision are hereby abolished.
The Ministers, Heads of ministerial-level agencies, Heads of government-affiliated agencies, Chairpersons of provincial and centrally-administered city People's Committees, and the Rector of Vinh Pedagogical University are responsible for implementing this Decision.
