Decree No. 62/2024/NĐ-CP amends and supplements certain Articles and Appendices of Decree No. 94/2016/NĐ-CP dated July 1, 2016, of the Government detailing and guiding the implementation of certain provisions of the Statistics Law and Decree No. 94/2022/NĐ-CP dated November 7, 2022, of the Government stipulating the content of national statistical indicators and the process of compiling Gross Domestic Product (GDP) indicators and Provincial Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) indicators.

DECREE

Amending and supplementing certain Articles and Appendices of Decree No. 94/2016/NĐ-CP
dated July 1, 2016 of the Government detailing and guiding the implementation of certain provisions of the Statistics Law and Decree No. 94/2022/NĐ-CP
dated November 7, 2022 of the Government stipulating the content of statistical indicators belonging to the national statistical indicator system and the process of compiling the gross domestic product indicator, the gross regional domestic product indicator on the provincial and centrally governed city level
On the basis of the Law on Government Organization dated June 19, 2015; the Law amending and supplementing certain provisions of the Law on Government Organization and the Law on Local Administration dated November 22, 2019;
On the basis of the Statistics Law dated November 23, 2015; the Law amending and supplementing certain provisions and the Appendix National Statistical Indicator List of the Statistics Law dated November 12, 2021;
The Government promulgates this Decree amending and supplementing certain Articles and Appendices of Decree No. 94/2016/NĐ-CP dated July 1, 2016 of the Government detailing and guiding the implementation of certain provisions of the Statistics Law and Decree No. 94/2022/NĐ-CP dated November 7, 2022 of the Government stipulating the content of statistical indicators belonging to the national statistical indicator system and the process of compiling the gross domestic product indicator, the gross regional domestic product indicator on the provincial and centrally governed city level.
Replacing the Appendix issued together with Decree No. 94/2016/NĐ-CP dated July 1, 2016 of the Government detailing and guiding the implementation of certain provisions of the Statistics Law with Appendix I issued together with this Decree.

Amending and supplementing certain Articles and Appendix II of Decree No. 94/2022/NĐ-CP dated November 7, 2022 of the Government stipulating the content of statistical indicators belonging to the national statistical indicator system and the process of compiling the gross domestic product indicator, the gross regional domestic product indicator on the provincial and centrally governed city level
1. Amending and supplementing Clause 1, Clause 2 Article 12 as follows:

Gross Domestic Product (GDP) data shall be published as follows:
a) Estimated first quarter data; preliminary fourth quarter data of the previous year: April 6 of the reporting year;

At the proposal of the Minister of Planning and Investment;

b) Estimated second quarter data, six-month data, and first estimated annual data; preliminary first quarter data: July 6 of the reporting year;

Article 1. c) Estimated third quarter data and nine-month data; preliminary second quarter data and six-month data: October 6 of the reporting year;

Article 2. d) Estimated fourth quarter data and second estimated annual data; preliminary third quarter data and nine-month data: January 6 of the year following the reporting year;

đ) Preliminary annual data: October 6 of the year following the reporting year;

“1. e) Official annual data and quarterly data of the reporting year: October 6 of the second year following the reporting year.

2. Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) data shall be published as follows:

a) Estimated first quarter data; preliminary fourth quarter data of the previous year: April 1 of the reporting year;

b) Estimated second quarter data, six-month data, and first estimated annual data; preliminary first quarter data: July 1 of the reporting year;

c) Estimated third quarter data and nine-month data; preliminary second quarter data and six-month data: October 1 of the reporting year;

d) Estimated fourth quarter data and second estimated annual data; preliminary third quarter data and nine-month data: December 1 of the reporting year;

đ) Preliminary annual data: October 1 of the year following the reporting year;

e) Official annual data and quarterly data of the reporting year: October 1 of the second year following the reporting year.”

2. Replacing Appendix II issued together with Decree No. 94/2022/NĐ-CP dated November 7, 2022 of the Government stipulating the content of statistical indicators belonging to the national statistical indicator system and the process of compiling the gross domestic product indicator, the gross regional domestic product indicator on the provincial and centrally governed city level with Appendix II issued together with this Decree.

1. This Decree takes effect from August 1, 2024.

2. The Ministers, Heads of ministerial-level agencies, Heads of agencies under the Government, Chairpersons of People's Committees of provinces and centrally governed cities, and related agencies and organizations are responsible for implementing this Decree.

d) Preliminary figures for the fourth quarter and annual estimates round two; preliminary figures for the third quarter and nine months: December 1st of the reporting year;

đ) Preliminary annual figures: October 1st of the year following the reporting year;

e) Official annual figures and quarterly figures of the reporting year: October 1st of the second year following the reporting year.”

2. Replace Appendix II issued together with Decree No. 94/2022/NĐ-CP dated November 7, 2022, of the Government stipulating the contents of statistical indicators within the national statistical indicator system and the compilation process of gross domestic product indicators, provincial gross domestic product indicators, by Appendix II issued together with this Decree.

Article 3. Implementation Provisions

1. This Decree takes effect from August 1, 2024.

2. The Minister, Heads of ministerial-level agencies, Heads of government-attached agencies, Chairpersons of People's Committees of provinces and centrally-run cities, and related agencies and organizations are responsible for implementing this Decree.
