DECREE-LAW
OF THE PRIME MINISTER
NUMBER 65B/SL DATED MAY 1, 1950
PRESIDENT OF THE DEMOCRATIC REPUBLIC OF VIETNAM
Pursuant to Decree-Law No. 83 dated September 17, 1947 establishing the Institute of Orders and Medals;
At the proposal of the Minister of Labor;
Considering it necessary to honor those intellectuals and manual workers who have contributed to the resistance and national construction;
In accordance with a resolution of the Government Council after consultation with the Standing Committee of the National Assembly;
ISSUES THE FOLLOWING DECREE-LAW:
Article 1: The "Labor Medal" is hereby established to award those who have achieved outstanding results in all activities through intellect or manual labor.
Article 2: The Labor Medal has three classes:
- First class,
- Second class,
- Third class,
The Labor Medal of the first class shall be awarded by a decree-law of the President of the Democratic Republic of Vietnam, upon proposal of the Minister of Labor.
The Labor Medals of the second and third classes shall be awarded by a decree of the Prime Minister, upon proposal of the Minister of Labor.
Article 3: Detailed regulations for implementing this Decree-Law shall be determined by the Prime Minister.
Article 4: The Deputy Prime Minister shall enforce this Decree-Law in accordance with its provisions.
