ISSUING THE FRAMEWORK CURRICULUM FOR UNIVERSITY EDUCATION IN THE ENGINEERING FIELD AT THE UNDERGRADUATE LEVEL
THE MINISTER OF EDUCATION AND TRAINING
Pursuant to Decree No. 86/2002/NĐ-CP dated November 5, 2002 of the Government stipulating the functions, tasks, powers, and organizational structure of ministries and ministerial-level agencies;
Pursuant to Decree No. 85/2003/NĐ-CP dated July 18, 2003 of the Government stipulating the functions, tasks, powers, and organizational structure of the Ministry of Education and Training;
Pursuant to Decree No. 75/2006/NĐ-CP dated August 2, 2006 of the Government detailing and guiding the implementation of certain provisions of the Education Law;
Based on the review results on March 22, 2007, by the Advisory Council for the development of the framework curriculum for university education in the engineering field;
In accordance with the proposal of the Director of the Department of Universities and Graduate Studies,
DECISION:
Article 1. Attached to this Decision is the Framework Curriculum for University Education in the Engineering Field at the Undergraduate Level, including 14 framework curricula for the following 14 fields:
1. Thermal and Refrigeration Engineering
2. Electrical and Electronics Engineering
3. Control and Automation Engineering
4. Metallurgical Engineering
5. Aerospace Engineering
6. Food Engineering
7. Textile Engineering
8. Mining Engineering
9. Geodesy and Cartography Engineering
10. Petroleum Engineering
11. Construction Materials Engineering
12. Construction Machinery Engineering
13. Water Supply and Drainage Engineering
14. Road and Bridge Engineering
Article 2. This Decision shall take effect fifteen days from the date of publication in the Official Gazette. The Framework Curriculum issued together with this Decision shall be used in universities, academies, colleges, and higher education institutions assigned the task of training in these fields at the undergraduate level.
Article 3. Based on the Framework Curriculum stipulated in this Decision, rectors of universities and academies, principals of universities and colleges shall organize the development of their own educational programs; organize the compilation and approval of textbooks for courses for official use in their institutions based on the review by the Textbook Review Council established by the rector or principal.
Article 4. The Heads of the Office, Directors of the Department of Universities and Graduate Studies, Heads of relevant units under the Ministry of Education and Training; rectors of universities and academies; principals of universities and colleges are responsible for implementing this Decision
