Pursuant to Decree No. 86/2003/NĐ-CP dated July 18, 2003 of the Government stipulating the functions, tasks, powers, and organizational structure of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development;
Pursuant to the Statistics Law dated June 17, 2003;
Pursuant to the Decree No. 40/2004/NĐ-CP dated February 13, 2004 of the Government detailing and guiding the implementation of certain provisions of the Law on Statistics;
Pursuant to Decision No. 305/2005/QĐ-TTg dated November 24, 2005 of the Prime Minister on the issuance of the National Statistical Indicator System;
Pursuant to Circular No. 697/TCTK-PPCĐ dated August 28, 2006 of the General Statistics Office regarding the review of the draft statistical indicator system for the Agriculture and Rural Development Sector;
Considering the proposal of the Director of the Planning Department and the Director of the Information Technology and Statistics Center,
DECISION:
Article 1. Issuing hereby the Statistical Indicators System for the Agriculture and Rural Development Sector.
Article 2. The Information Technology and Statistics Center shall be responsible for leading and coordinating with relevant Departments and specialized Bureaus:
1. Standardizing the concepts, contents, and calculation methods for each indicator in the Statistical Indicators System for the Agriculture and Rural Development Sector;
2. Establishing regular reporting systems, organizing training sessions for units to uniformly apply throughout the sector;
3. Developing statistical survey programs based on the Statistical Indicators System for the Agriculture and Rural Development Sector and submitting them to competent authorities for approval and implementation;
4. Building and developing statistical databases based on the Statistical Indicators System for the Agriculture and Rural Development Sector.
Article 3. This Decision shall take effect fifteen days from the date of publication in the Official Gazette.
Article 4. The Head of the Office, the Director of the Planning Department, the Director of the Information Technology and Statistics Center, the Heads of subordinate units under the Ministry, and the Directors of Provincial Departments of Agriculture and Rural Development directly under the Central Government are responsible for implementing this Decision.
