Decree No. 71-SL Regarding the Supplement to Article 11 of Chapter 5 of the Decree dated October 17, 1945 on Electoral Regulations

DECREE-LAW

AMENDING ARTICLE 11, CHAPTER 5 OF THE DECREELAW DATED OCTOBER 17, 1945 ON ELECTION RULES.

CHAIRMAN OF THE PROVISIONAL GOVERNMENT OF THE DEMOCRATIC REPUBLIC OF VIETNAM

PURSUANT TO DECREE-LAW No. 14 dated September 8, 1945 calling for a general election to elect the National Assembly;
PURSUANT TO DECREE-LAW No. 39 dated September 26, 1945 establishing an Election Rules Drafting Committee;
PURSUANT TO DECREE-LAW No. 51 dated October 17, 1945 setting out the rules for a general election;
AFTER THE GOVERNMENT COUNCIL HAS AGREED,

ISSUES THE FOLLOWING DECREELAW:

Article 1: AMENDS ARTICLE 2 OF CHAPTER 5 OF DECREE-LAW No. 51 DATED OCTOBER 17, 1945 ON ELECTION RULES AS FOLLOWS;

“Article 2”.

"Due to current transportation difficulties, candidates may submit their candidacy applications directly to the People's Committee where they reside and request that committee to send an application on their behalf to the People's Committee of the electoral district in which they wish to run. The application form and supporting documents will be forwarded by the People's Committee where the candidate resides."

Article 2: THE MINISTER OF INTERNAL AFFAIRS AND THE MINISTER OF PROPAGANDA SHALL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR IMPLEMENTING THIS DECREELAW.
