Regarding the establishment of Quang Nam University

PRIME MINISTER

Pursuant to the Law on Organization of the Government dated December 25, 2001;

Pursuant to the Education Law dated June 14, 2005;

Pursuant to Decree No. 75/2006/NĐ-CP dated August 2, 2006 of the Government detailing and guiding the implementation of certain provisions of the Education Law;

Considering the proposal of the Minister of Education and Training at Circular No. 5542/TTr-GDĐT dated June 4, 2007 regarding the establishment of Quang Nam University.

DECISION:

Article 1: Establish Quang Nam University based on upgrading Quang Nam College of Education.

Article 2: Quang Nam University is a university-level training institution directly under the People's Committee of Quang Nam Province and subject to state management in education by the Ministry of Education and Training.

Quang Nam University is a public service entity, having legal personality, its own seal and separate bank account as prescribed by law; its headquarters is located in Tam Ky City, Quang Nam Province.

Article 3: Quang Nam University operates according to the Charter of universities issued by the Prime Minister.

Article 4: This Decision shall take effect from the date of signing.

Article 5: The Ministers, Heads of ministerial-level agencies, Heads of government agencies, Chairpersons of provincial People's Committees under the direct jurisdiction of the central government shall be responsible for implementing this Decision./.
