CIRCULAR

Issuing the "National Technical Regulation on Inland Waterway Signaling in Vietnam"

BASED ON THE LAW ON STANDARDS AND TECHNICAL REGULATIONS dated June 29, 2006;

Based on the Decree No. 127/2007/NĐ-CP dated August 1, 2007 of the Government detailing the implementation of certain provisions of the Law on Standards and Technical Regulations;

Based on the Decree No. 51/2008/NĐ-CP dated April 22, 2008 of the Government stipulating the functions, tasks, powers, and organizational structure of the Ministry of Transport;

The Minister of Transport hereby promulgates:

Article 1. Issued together with this Circular is the "National Technical Regulation on Inland Waterway Signaling in Vietnam";

Registration code: QCVN 39:2011/BGTVT.

Article 2. This Circular shall take effect six months from the date of issuance and shall replace Decision No. 4099/2000/QĐ-BGTVT dated December 28, 2000 of the Ministry of Transport.

Article 3. The Director of the Department of Inland Waterways of Vietnam is tasked to develop and announce a roadmap for adjusting, replacing, and upgrading the inland waterway signaling system according to QCVN 39:2011/BGTVT based on management requirements.

Article 4. The Head of the Office of the Ministry, the Inspector General of the Ministry, Heads of Departments, the Director of the Department of Inland Waterways of Vietnam, heads of agencies and units under the Ministry of Transport, relevant organizations and individuals are responsible for implementing this Circular./.
