REGARDING THE ISSUE OF JOURNALIST CARDS (NEW MODEL) FOR THE PERIOD 2006-2010
THE MINISTER OF CULTURE AND INFORMATION
Pursuant to the Press Law dated December 28, 1989; the Law Amending and Supplementing Certain Articles of the Press Law dated June 12, 1999, and Decree No. 51/2002/NĐ-CP dated April 26, 2002 of the Government detailing the implementation of the Press Law and the Law Amending and Supplementing Certain Articles of the Press Law;
Pursuant to Decree No. 63/2003/NĐ-CP dated June 11, 2003 of the Government on the functions, tasks, powers, and organizational structure of the Ministry of Culture and Information;
At the proposal of the Director of the Press Department,
DECISION:
Article 1. The Journalist Card (new model) for the period 2006-2010 is hereby issued to journalists meeting the criteria stipulated in the Press Law.
The Journalist Card (new model) for the period 2006-2010 shall be issued by the Ministry of Culture and Information with the front side in dark red color, bearing the inscription SOCIALIST REPUBLIC OF VIETNAM in both Vietnamese and English, with the National Emblem of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam printed on it. The phrase JOURNALIST CARD in both Vietnamese and English. The National Emblem and the inscriptions shall be printed in gold color. In the upper left corner of the Card, there are two diagonal red stripes. The main face of the Card shall contain the essential information of the Card, including a photograph of the cardholder with a raised seal, and a signature of a leader from the Ministry of Culture and Information.
Article 2. The new Journalist Card for the period 2006-2010 shall be valid for use starting January 1, 2006. For journalists who have been issued a Card for the period 2001-2005 but have not yet received a Card for the period 2006-2010, they may continue using the Card for the period 2001-2005 until January 31, 2006.
Article 3. News agencies shall organize ceremonies to present the Journalist Cards 2006-2010 to those individuals receiving Cards within their news agencies and shall be responsible for introducing the new model of the Journalist Card in newspapers and radio stations to facilitate recognition by organizations and individuals and to promote professional activities.
The Standard Measurement Quality Control Department shall be responsible for organizing and guiding the implementation of the Regulations adopted herein.
Article 4. The Head of the Office, the Director of the Press Department, news agencies, supervising agencies of news agencies, and Departments of Culture and Information shall be responsible for implementing this Decision./
