DECISION OF THE MINISTER

Regarding the announcement of the average monthly wage level for the year 2000

of state-owned enterprises assigned unit wage prices

THE MINISTER OF LABOR, WAR INVALIDS AND SOCIAL AFFAIRS

Pursuant to Decree No. 96/CP dated December 7, 1993 of the Government on the functions, tasks, powers, and organizational structure of the Ministry of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs;

Pursuant to Decree No. 28/CP dated March 28, 1997 of the Government on reforming salary management and income in state-owned enterprises;

After considering the opinions of the Ministry of Finance in Circular No. 3284 TC/TCDN dated August 11, 2000, and of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor in Circular No. 934/TCĐ dated July 25, 2000;

At the proposal of the Director of the Department of Wages and Remuneration,

DECISION:

Article 1. Now announces the average monthly wage level for the year 2000 for State-owned corporations and enterprises assigned unit wage prices by competent authorities at: 1,000,000 VND/month (one million VND/month). When settling the wage fund according to production and business results, the average wage level implemented by enterprises and State-owned corporations 91/TTg and 90/TTg (calculated on average for the entire corporation) shall not exceed twice the announced average wage level.

For enterprises and State-owned corporations meeting the conditions stipulated in Joint Circular No. 22/1999/TTLT-BLĐTBXH-BTC dated September 18, 1999 of the Ministry of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs and the Ministry of Finance guiding the settlement of wages, they may settle wages based on actual implementation averages from more than twice to three times the announced average wage level.

Article 2. This Decision takes effect for the settlement of the wage fund implemented in 2000.

Article 3. The Minister, Heads of Ministries equivalent to Ministries and agencies under the Government, Chairpersons of People's Committees of provinces and centrally governed cities, and Chairpersons of Management Councils of State-owned corporations 91/TTg are responsible for implementing this Decision./.
