DECREE-LAW

No. 90 dated May 30, 1946

CHAIRMAN OF THE GOVERNMENT OF THE DEMOCRATIC REPUBLIC OF VIETNAM

Regarding the current laws on mining;

Based on the proposal of May 21, 1946 and the request of the Minister of National Economy,

After the Council of Ministers has reached an agreement,

ISSUES THE DECREE-LAW:

Article 1

The following decrees issued by the former French High Commissioner in Indochina, which designate restricted mining areas, are hereby annulled:

Dong Trieu District: (6)

Decree dated May 30, 1913 and February 16, 1918

North bordering the parallel at 23°52'

South bordering the parallel at 23°30'

East bordering the meridian at 116°40'

West bordering the meridian at 115°84'

Thai Nguyen District (7)

Decree dated May 30, 1913 and November 18, 1918

North bordering the parallel at 24°30'

South bordering the parallel at 23°90'

East bordering the meridian at 115°20'

West bordering the meridian at 114°70'

Tra My District (12)

Decree dated November 28, 1937

North bordering the parallel at 17°40'

South bordering the parallel at 16°90'

West bordering the meridian at 117°30'

East bordering the meridian at 118°30'

Dong Son District (14)

Decree dated January 24, 1943

North bordering the parallel at 17°65'

South bordering the parallel at 16°40'

Article 2

The restricted mining areas mentioned above shall be established as mining zones of the Government of the Democratic Republic of Vietnam.

Article 3

Existing property rights in accordance with Vietnamese mining laws are respected.

Article 4

Any previous benefits that conflict with this Decree-Law have no validity.

Article 5

The Ministers of National Economy, Interior, and Finance shall be responsible for implementing this Decree-Law.
