Regarding the announcement of national inland waterways

MINISTER OF TRANSPORT
Pursuant to the Law on Inland Waterway Traffic dated June 15, 2004;
Pursuant to Decree No. 51/2008/ND-CP dated April 22, 2008 of the Government stipulating the functions, tasks, powers, and organizational structure of the Ministry of Transport;
Based on the proposal of the Director of the Legal Department and the Director of the Directorate of Inland Waterways of Vietnam,
DECISION:
Article 1. Announce the national inland waterway routes as set forth in the attached List pursuant to this Decision.
Article 2. Direct the Director of the Directorate of Inland Waterways of Vietnam to organize management and maintenance of the national inland waterway routes announced in Article 1 of this Decision in accordance with the provisions of the law.
Article 3. Direct the Directors of Provincial Departments of Transport to establish lists of provincial inland waterway routes, submit them for promulgation and organization of management by the Chairpersons of People's Committees of provinces and centrally governed cities in accordance with the provisions of the law.
Article 4
1. This Decision shall take effect 45 days from the date of issuance. Repeal Decision No. 68/2005/QD-BGTVT dated December 19, 2005 of the Minister of Transport regarding the announcement of the List of National Inland Waterway Routes.
2. The Director of the Directorate of Inland Waterways of Vietnam, the Director of the Directorate of Maritime Transport, and the Directors of Provincial Departments of Transport shall organize the handover of routes under their jurisdiction before June 30, 2009.
Article 5. The Heads of the Office, the Inspectorate, the Directors of Departments, the Director of the Directorate of Inland Waterways of Vietnam, the Director of the Directorate of Maritime Transport, the Directors of Provincial Departments of Transport, the Heads of organizations and individuals concerned are responsible for implementing this Decision./.
