Issuing National Technical Regulations on Basic Geographic Information Standards

MINISTER OF NATURAL RESOURCES AND ENVIRONMENT

Pursuant to the Law on Standards and Technical Regulations dated June 29, 2006;

Pursuant to the Law on Legislative Documents of 2008;

Based on Decree No. 132/2008/NĐ-CP dated December 31, 2008 of the Government detailing implementation of certain provisions

Pursuant to Decree No. 25/2008/NĐ-CP dated March 4, 2008 of the Government stipulating the functions, tasks, powers, and organizational structure of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment;

Pursuant to Decree No. 12/2002/NĐ-CP dated January 22, 2002 of the Government on surveying and mapping activities;

At the request of the Director of the Vietnam National Mapping Agency, the Head of the Science and Technology Department, and the Head of the Legal Affairs Department,

c) Enterprises may be granted permission for no more than one block out of the total three dual-frequency blocks (FDD) B

Article 1. This Circular promulgates the National Technical Regulations on Basic Geographic Information Standards, code QCVN 42: 2012/BTNMT.

Article 2. This Circular takes effect from May 4, 2012, and replaces the following decisions: Decision No. 06/2007/QĐ-BTNMT dated February 27, 2007, issued by the Minister of Natural Resources and Environment regarding the application of national basic geographic information standards; Decision No. 08/2007/QĐ-BTNMT dated May 14, 2007, issued by the Minister of Natural Resources and Environment regarding corrections to the national basic geographic information standards application regulations issued together with Decision No. 06/2007/QĐ-BTNMT dated February 27, 2007; Decision No. 05/2008/QĐ-BTNMT dated August 26, 2008, issued by the Minister of Natural Resources and Environment regarding amendments to certain provisions of the national basic geographic information standards application regulations issued together with Decision No. 06/2007/QĐ-BTNMT dated February 27, 2007 and Decision No. 08/2007/QĐ-BTNMT dated May 14, 2007, issued by the Minister of Natural Resources and Environment.

Article 3. The Minister, Heads of Ministries equivalent to Ministries, Heads of Government Agencies, Chairpersons of People's Committees of provinces and centrally governed cities, and related organizations and individuals are responsible for implementing this Circular./.
