CIRCULAR

Issuing national technical standards for substances used to fortify food with micronutrients

THE MINISTER OF HEALTH

Pursuant to the Law on Standards and Technical Regulations dated June 29, 2006 and Decree No. 127/2007/NĐ-CP dated August 1, 2007 of the Government detailing the implementation of certain provisions of the Law on Standards and Technical Regulations; The Governmenthas issued detailed regulations on the implementation of certain provisions of the Law on Standards and Technical Regulations;

Pursuant to the Ordinance on Food Safety dated August 7, 2003 and Decree No. 163/2004/NĐ-CP dated September 7, 2004 of the Government detailing the implementation of certain provisions of the Ordinance on Food Safety;

Pursuant to Decree No. 188/2007/NĐ-CP dated December 27, 2007 of the Government stipulating the functions, tasks, powers, and organizational structure of the Ministry of Health;

At the proposal of the Director of the Food Safety Administration, the Head of the Science and Training Department, and the Head of the Legal Affairs Department,This Circular hereby promulgates national technical standards for substances used to fortify food with micronutrients, including:

c) Enterprises may be granted permission for no more than one block out of the total three dual-frequency blocks (FDD) B

Article 1. 1. QCVN 3-5:2011/BYT National technical standard for substances used to fortify food with magnesium;

2. QCVN 3-6:2011/BYT National technical standard for substances used to fortify food with iodine.

This Circular takes effect from August 1, 2011.

Article 2. The Director of the Food Safety Administration, Heads of units under the Ministry of Health, units directly under the Ministry of Health; Directors of Health Departments of provinces and centrally governed cities, and relevant organizations and individuals are responsible for implementing this Circular.
