Regarding the issuance of the "National Technical Regulation on Urban Planning"

THE MINISTER OF CONSTRUCTION

Pursuant to Decree No. 17/2008/NĐ-CP dated February 4, 2008 of the Government stipulating the functions, tasks, powers, and organizational structure of the Ministry of Construction;
At the proposal of the Director of the Science and Technology Department, the Director of the Institute of Urban and Rural Planning in Circular No. 53/VQH-QHXD2 dated January 30, 2008;

DECISION:

Article 1. The National Technical Regulation on Urban Planning is hereby issued together with this Decision:

"QCVN 01/2008/BXD National Technical Regulation on Urban Planning." This regulation replaces Part II (on urban planning) of the Vietnam Construction Standards Volume 1 - 1997.

Article 2. This Decision takes effect from April 3, 2008 and applies throughout the country.

Article 3. Ministries, ministerial-level agencies, government-affiliated agencies, provincial people's committees, and municipal people's committees under central jurisdiction shall be responsible for implementing this Decision.
