Pursuant to THE SEAFARING LAWOF VIETNAM dated November 25, 2015;
Pursuant to THE LAW ONINLAND WATERWAY TRANSPORT dated June 15, 2004; THE AMENDMENT AND SUPPLEMENTATION OF CERTAIN PROVISIONS OF THE LAW ON INLAND WATERWAY TRANSPORT dated June 17, 2014;Pursuant to DECREE NO.
7/2017/ND-CP dated February 10, 2017 of THE GOVERNMENT stipulating functions, tasks, powers and organizational structure of the Ministry of Transport; 12/201At the proposal of the Director of the Department of Transport, the Directors of the Vietnam Maritime Administration and the Directorate of Inland Waterway Transport;The Minister of Transport issues this Circular amending and adding certain provisions of Circular No. 16/2013/TT-BGTVT dated July 30, 2013 issued by the Minister of Transport regulating management of inland waterway routes from mainland to islands in Vietnamese maritime zones.Article 1. Amend and add Article 6 as follows:
"Article 6. Transitional Provisions
1. Vessels and crew operating on the Nha Trang - Hon Nhoi route must comply with current legal provisions before December 31, 2017.2. Ports and wharfs on the Sa Ky - Ly Son and Phan Thiet - Phu Quy routes must comply with current legal provisions before December 31, 2018." 2. Replace Appendix I of Circular No. 16/2013/TT-BGTVT dated July 30, 2013 issued by the Minister of Transport with Appendix I attached to this Circular. Article 2. Effective DateThis Circular takes effect from July 1, 2017. Article 3. Implementation
The Director of the Ministry's Office, the Inspector General of the Ministry, Heads of Departments, Directors of the Vietnam Maritime Administration, Directorate of Inland Waterway Transport, and Bureau of Technical Inspection of Vietnam, Directors of Provincial Department of Transport, Heads of relevant agencies, organizations, and individuals are responsible for implementing this Circular./.
1. Amend and supplement Article 6 as follows:
“Article 6. Transitional provisions
1. Vessels and crew operating on the Nha Trang - Hon Noi route must comply with current legal regulations by December 31, 2017.
2. Ports and wharfs on the Sa Ky - Ly Son and Phan Thiet - Phu Quy routes must comply with current legal regulations by December 31, 2018.”
2. Replace Appendix I of Circular No. 16/2013/TT-BGTVT dated July 30, 2013 issued by the Minister of Transport with Appendix I attached to this Circular.
Article 2. Effective date
This Circular takes effect from July 1, 2017.
Article 3. Implementation
The Director of the Ministry’s Office, the Inspector General of the Ministry, Heads of Departments, Directors of the Vietnam Maritime Administration, Directors of the Vietnam Inland Waterways Administration, Directors of the Vietnam Ship Registry, Directors of Provincial Transport Departments, and Heads of relevant agencies, organizations, and individuals are responsible for implementing this Circular./.
