Regarding the abolition of legal normative documents
THE MINISTER OF SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY
Pursuant to Decree No. 22/CP dated May 22, 1993 of the Government on the tasks, powers, and organizational structure of the Ministry of Science, Technology, and Environment (now the Ministry of Science and Technology);
Considering the proposal of the Director of the Legal Department, the Director of the Department of Science and Technology Management, the Director of the Office for Technology and Environmental Assessment of Investment Projects, and the Head of the Ministry's Office;
DECISION:
Article 1. Abolishes the following documents:
Decision No. 2019/1997/QĐ-BKHCNMT dated December 1, 1997 of the Minister of Science, Technology, and Environment promulgating general technical requirements for the importation of used equipment.
Decision No. 491/1998/QĐ-BKHCNMT dated April 29, 1998 of the Minister of Science, Technology, and Environment amending certain provisions of the general technical requirements for the importation of used equipment issued together with Decision No. 2019/1997/QĐ-BKHCNMT dated December 1, 1997 of the Minister of Science, Technology, and Environment.
The provisions of Chapter IV of Circular No. 02/2001/TT-BKHCNMT dated February 15, 2001 of the Ministry of Science, Technology, and Environment regarding the importation of used machinery for foreign-invested enterprises.
Article 2. The importation of used equipment shall be carried out in accordance with Decision No. 46/2001/QĐ-TTg dated April 4, 2001 of the Prime Minister on the management of export and import of goods during the period 2001-2005 and must comply with regulations on safety, labor hygiene, environmental protection, and product and service quality as stipulated by Vietnamese law.
Article 3. This Decision shall take effect fifteen days from the date of publication in the Official Gazette.
Article 4. The Directors of the Legal Department, the Department of Science and Technology Management, the Office for Technology and Environmental Assessment of Investment Projects, the Head of the Ministry's Office, and related organizations and individuals are responsible for implementing this Decision.
