CIRCULAR

Issuing National Technical Regulations on Road Signs

On the basis of Decree No. 86/2012/NĐ-CP dated October 19, 2012, issued by the Government detailing and guiding implementation of certain provisions of the Metrology Law;

Pursuant to the Law on Standards and Technical Regulations dated June 29, 2006;

Pursuant to Decree No. 127/2007/NĐ-CP dated August 1, 2008 of the Government detailing the implementation of certain provisions of the Law on Technical Standards and Regulations;

Pursuant to Decree No. 67/2009/NĐ-CP dated August 3, 2009 of the Government amending certain provisions of Decree No. 127/2007/NĐ-CP dated August 1, 2007 of the Government detailing the implementation of certain provisions of the Law on Technical Standards and Regulations;

Pursuant to Decree No. 107/2012/NĐ-CP dated December 20, 2012 of the Government stipulating the functions, tasks, powers, and organizational structure of the Ministry of Transport;

At the proposal of the Director of the Department of Science and Technology and the Director General of the Vietnam Highway Corporation,

The Minister of Transport promulgates the National Technical Regulation on Road Traffic Signs.

Article 1. Attached to this Circular is the "National Technical Regulation on Road Traffic Signs."

Article 2. Effectiveness

1. This Circular takes effect from November 1, 2016.

2. This Circular replaces Circular No. 17/2012/TT-BGTVT dated May 29, 2012 of the Minister of Transport promulgating the "National Technical Regulation on Road Traffic Signs" QCVN 41:2012/BGTVT and Circular No. 27/2015/TT-BGTVT dated June 23, 2015 of the Minister of Transport promulgating the "National Technical Regulation on Directional Signs on Expressways" QCVN 83:2015/BGTVT.

Article 3. The Head of the Ministry's Office, the Inspector General, the Heads of Departments, the Director General of the Vietnam Highway Corporation, the Heads of agencies and units under the Ministry of Transport, the Directors of Provincial Departments of Transport, the Heads of centrally governed cities, and organizations and individuals related to this matter are responsible for implementing this Circular./.
