AMENDING AND SUPPLEMENTING ARTICLE 10 OF THE POPULATION LAW
Pursuant to the Constitution of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam;
The Standing Committee of the National Assembly promulgates this Ordinance amending and supplementing Article 10 of the Population Law No. 06/2003/PL-UBTVQH11, which has been amended and supplemented by Ordinance No. 08/2008/PL-UBTVQH12. ARTICLE 1. Amending and supplementing
Article 10 of the Population Law Amending and supplementing Article 10 of the Population Law as follows:
"ARTICLE 10. Rights and obligations of each married couple or individual in implementing family planning and reproductive health care.
1. To decide on the timing, number, and intervals between births based on their age, health condition, educational circumstances, labor conditions, income, and child-rearing capacity, ensuring equality.
2. To protect health, prevent sexually transmitted infections including HIV/AIDS, and implement other measures related to reproductive health care."
ARTICLE 2. Implementation clause
1. This Ordinance shall take effect from June 3, 2025.
2. Ordinance No. 08/2008/PL-UBTVQH12 amending Article 10 of the Population Law shall cease to be effective upon the entry into force of this Ordinance.
