Pursuant to the Food Safety Law dated June 17, 2010;

On the basis of Decree No. 38/2012/NĐ-CP dated April 25, 2012 of the Government detailing a number of articles of the Food Safety Law;

Pursuant to Decree No. 63/2012/NĐ-CP dated August 31, 2012 of the Government stipulating functions, tasks, powers, and organizational structure of the Ministry of Health;

At the proposal of the Director of the Food Safety Administration;

The Minister of Health issues this Circular amending and supplementing certain provisions of Circular No. 27/2012/TT-BYT dated November 30, 2012 of the Minister of Health guiding the management of food additives:

2. Amending and supplementing Appendix 2 Maximum limits for food additives in food issued together with Circular No. 27/2012/TT-BYT according to the amended and supplemented maximum limits for some food additives issued together with this Circular.

3. Amending and supplementing Article 7 Transitional provisions as follows: Food additives, food products using food additives that have been granted a Notification of Acceptance of Declaration of Conformity or Confirmation of Declaration of Compliance with Food Safety Regulations before the date this Circular takes effect shall continue to be used until the expiration date stated on the Notification or Confirmation.

Article 2. Implementation clause

1. This Circular takes effect from July 1, 2015.

2. The Food Safety Authority is responsible for leading and coordinating with relevant agencies to guide implementation and organize the enforcement of this Circular. Any difficulties or obstacles during implementation should be reported to the Food Safety Authority (Ministry of Health) for consideration and resolution.
