DECREE
Establishing August 19 as National Day of Vietnam
CHAIRMAN OF THE COUNCIL OF MINISTERS OF THE DEMOCRATIC REPUBLIC OF VIETNAM
Pursuant to Decree No. 22-C dated February 18, 1946 establishing official holidays,
At the proposal of the Minister of Interior Affairs,
After the Council of Ministers has reached an agreement,
ISSUES THE DECREE
Article 1
August 19 of the solar calendar, the day commemorating the August Revolution of 1945, shall henceforth be National Day of Vietnam.
Article 2
The "National Day of Vietnam" will be added to the list of official holidays established by Decree No. 22-C dated February 18, 1946.
Article 3
Ministers of all Ministries and Chairmen of Administrative Committees in the North, Central, and South shall be responsible for implementing this Decree.
