THE MINISTER OF AGRICULTURE AND RURAL DEVELOPMENT

Pursuant to Decree No. 86/2003/NĐ-CP dated July 18, 2003 of the Government stipulating the functions, tasks, powers, and organizational structure of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development;

Pursuant to the Plant Protection and Quarantine Ordinance promulgated on August 8, 2001;

Considering the proposal of the Director of the Plant Protection Department,

DECISION:

Article 1: The following decisions are hereby issued together with this decision:

1. The list of plant protection products permitted for use in Vietnam (attached list) includes:

1.1. Pesticides used in Agriculture:

1.1.1. Insecticides: 177 active substances with 555 trade names

1.1.2. Fungicides: 145 active substances with 419 trade names

1.1.3. Herbicides: 104 active substances with 311 trade names

1.1.4. Rodenticides: 13 active substances with 20 trade names

1.1.5. Plant growth regulators: 25 active substances with 54 trade names

1.1.6. Insect attractants: 3 active substances with 4 trade names

1.1.7. Snailcides: 3 active substances with 17 trade names

1.1.8. Adjuvants (coatings): 4 active substances with 4 trade names

1.2. Termite control products: 7 active substances with 8 trade names

1.3. Wood preservatives: 5 active substances with 6 trade names

1.4. Warehouse disinfectants: 5 active substances with 5 trade names

2. The list of plant protection products restricted for use in Vietnam (attached list) includes:

2.1. Pesticides used in Agriculture:

2.1.1. Insecticides: 6 active substances with 10 trade names

2.1.2. Fungicides: 1 active substance with 1 trade name

2.1.3. Rodenticides: 1 active substance with 3 trade names

2.2. Termite control products: 2 active substances with 2 trade names

2.3. Wood preservatives: 4 active substances with 4 trade names

2.4. Warehouse disinfectants: 3 active substances with 9 trade names

3. The list of plant protection products prohibited for use in Vietnam (attached list) includes:

3.1. Insecticides, wood preservatives: 21 active substances

3.2. Fungicides: 6 active substances

3.3. Rodenticides: 1 active substance

3.4. Herbicides: 1 active substance

Article 2: The export and import of plant protection products issued together with this decision shall be carried out in accordance with Circular 62/2001/TT-BNN dated June 5, 2001 of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development guiding the export and import of goods under specialized agricultural management according to Decision 46/2001/QĐ-TTg dated April 4, 2001 of the Prime Minister on the management of export and import of goods during the period 2001-2005 and Decision No. 145/2002/QĐ-BNN dated December 18, 2002 of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development on the issuance of regulations on registration procedures; production, processing, bottling, packaging; export, import; trading; storage, transportation; use; destruction; drug labels; packaging; advertising seminars for plant protection products

Article 3: This Decision shall take effect fifteen days from the date of publication in the Official Gazette.

Previous decisions that conflict with this decision are hereby abolished.

Article 4: The Director of the Plant Protection Department, the Head of the Ministry's Office, Heads of units under the Ministry, and related organizations and individuals are responsible for implementing this decision./.
