Pursuant to Decree No. 29/2004/NĐ-CP dated January 16, 2004 of the Government stipulating the functions, tasks, powers, and organizational structure of the Ministry of Trade;

Pursuant to Decree No. 12/2006/NĐ-CP dated January 23, 2006 of the Government detailing the implementation of the Law on Trade regarding international trade activities and intermediary purchase, sale, processing, and transit of goods with foreign countries;

Implementing the guidance of the Prime Minister in Official Document No. 1605/VPCP-KTTH dated March 29, 2006 of the Government Office on the management of temporarily imported goods for re-export and transshipment, and after reaching a consensus with the Ministry of Public Security in Official Document No. 987/V11 (VPU) dated June 8, 2006 on the coordination in managing the business activities involving sassafras oil.

Article 1. Continue to suspend the temporary import for re-export and transshipment of finished wooden products from Vietnam to the United States.

Article 2. The temporary import for re-export of sassafras oil (Sassafras Oil) must be authorized by the Ministry of Trade.

Article 3. Repeal Decision No. 1318/2005/QĐ-BTM dated April 29, 2005 of the Minister of Trade regarding the repeal of Decision No. 0971/2004/QĐ-BTM dated July 14, 2004 of the Minister of Trade; suspend the temporary import for re-export and transshipment of finished wooden products and the conditions for importing semi-finished wooden products for processing and production of export goods.

Article 4. This Decision shall take effect fifteen days after its publication in the Official Gazette./.
