Repeals the preferential subjects specified in Point a Clause 1 Article 1
Circular number 24/2013/TT-BGDĐT dated July 4, 2013 on amending and supplementing the preferential subjects specified in Point a Clause 1 and Point a Clause 2 Article 7 of the University and College Regular System Admissions Regulation issued together with Circular No. 09/2012/TT-BGDĐT dated March 5, 2012 of the Minister of Education and Training
Pursuant to Decree No. 04/2012/UBTVQH13 dated July 16, 2012 of the Standing Committee of the National Assembly amending and supplementing some articles of the Ordinance on Preferential Treatment for Persons Contributing to the Revolution;
Pursuant to Decree No. 36/2012/NĐ-CP dated April 18, 2012 of the Government stipulating the functions, tasks, powers, and organizational structure of ministries and ministerial-level agencies;
Pursuant to Decree No. 32/2008/NĐ-CP dated March 19, 2008 of the Government stipulating the functions, tasks, powers, and organizational structure of the Ministry of Education and Training;
Pursuant to Decree No. 75/2006/NĐ-CP dated August 2, 2006 of the Government detailing and guiding the implementation of certain provisions of the Education Law; Decree No. 31/2011/NĐ-CP dated May 11, 2011 of the Government amending and supplementing certain provisions of Decree No. 75/2006/NĐ-CP dated August 2, 2006 of the Government detailing and guiding the implementation of certain provisions of the Education Law; Decree No. 07/2013/NĐ-CP of the Government amending Point b Clause 13 Article 1 of Decree No. 31/2011/NĐ-CP dated May 11, 2011 of the Government amending and supplementing certain provisions of Decree No. 75/2006/NĐ-CP dated August 2, 2006 of the Government detailing and guiding the implementation of certain provisions of the Education Law;
2. Admission methods include: examination, assessment, or a combination of examination and assessment.
At the proposal of the Director of the Testing and Quality Assurance Agency;
The Minister of Education and Training issues this Circular to repeal the preferential subjects specified in Point a Clause 1 Article 1 of Circular No. 24/2013/TT-BGDĐT dated July 4, 2013 on amending and supplementing the preferential subjects specified in Point a Clause 1 and Point a Clause 2 Article 7 of the University and College Regular System Admissions Regulation issued together with Circular No. 09/2012/TT-BGDĐT dated March 5, 2012 of the Minister of Education and Training (Circular No. 24/2013/TT-BGDĐT).
Article 1. Repeals the preferential subjects specified in Point a Clause 1 Article 1 of Circular No. 24/2013/TT-BGDĐT. Specifically:
1. Mothers of Vietnam's Heroic Mothers.
2. People who were engaged in revolutionary activities before January 1, 1945.
3. People who were engaged in revolutionary activities from January 1, 1945 to the August 1945 Revolution.
Article 2. This Circular takes effect from August 30, 2013.
Article 3. Director of the Office, Inspector General, Director of the Department of Testing and Quality Assurance in Education, Director of the Higher Education Department, Heads of relevant units under the Ministry of Education and Training; Ministers of Ministries, Heads of agencies at the level of ministries and agencies under the Government; Chairmen of Provincial People's Committees and Municipal People's Committees directly under the Central Government; Directors of Departments of Education and Training; Directors of universities and academies; Principals of university and college schools are responsible for implementing this Circular.
