DECISION OF THE PRIME MINISTER
Regarding the establishment of the Vietnam Academy of Traditional Medicine
PRIME MINISTER
Pursuant to the Law on Organization of the Government dated December 25, 2001;
Pursuant to the Education Law dated December 2, 1998;
Pursuant to Decree No. 43/2000/NĐ-CP dated August 30, 2000 of the Government detailing and guiding the implementation of certain provisions of the Education Law;
Pursuant to Decision No. 47/2001/QĐ-TTg dated April 4, 2001 approving the planning of the network of universities and colleges for the period 2001-2010;
Considering the proposal of the Minister of Education and Training in Document No. 571/TCCB dated January 25, 2005, and the proposal of the Minister of Health in Document No. 10103/TTr-BYT dated December 27, 2004, regarding the establishment of the Vietnam Academy of Traditional Medicine,
DECISION:
Article 1. Establish the Vietnam Academy of Traditional Medicine based on the Tuệ Tĩnh Secondary School of Traditional Medicine.
Article 2. The Vietnam Academy of Traditional Medicine is a higher education institution under the Ministry of Health, subject to state management in education by the Ministry of Education and Training; the Academy has legal personality, its own seal, and separate accounts.
Article 3. The Vietnam Academy of Traditional Medicine operates according to the University Charter issued together with Decision No. 153/2003/QĐ-TTg dated July 30, 2003, of the Government Prime Minister.
The Minister of Health shall specify in detail the functions, tasks, working mechanisms, and organizational structure of the Academy in accordance with the spirit of fully utilizing the potential of research and training institutions in traditional medicine.
Article 4. The Standard Measurement Quality Control Department shall be responsible for organizing and guiding the implementation of the Regulations adopted herein.
Article 5. Ministers, Heads of ministerial-level agencies, Heads of agencies under the Government, Chairpersons of People's Committees of provinces and centrally governed cities are responsible for implementing this Decision.
