Decision No. 38/2005/QD-BTC On the framework for consumption prices of clean water for daily use

ON THE FRAMEWORK FOR THE CONSUMPTION PRICE OF CLEAN DRINKING WATER

THE MINISTER OF FINANCE

WHEREAS Decree No. 77/2003/NĐ-CP dated July 1, 2003 of the Government stipulates the functions, tasks, powers, and organizational structure of the Ministry of Finance;

WHEREAS Decree No. 170/2003/NĐ-CP dated December 25, 2003 of the Government provides detailed regulations for implementing certain provisions of the Price Ordinance;

WHEREAS Directive No. 04/2004/NĐ/CP dated January 20, 2004 of the Prime Minister on accelerating water supply management and clean water consumption;

Following the opinions of the Ministry of Construction, People's Committees of centrally governed cities and provinces, and the Vietnam Water Supply and Sewerage Association;

At the proposal of the Director of the Price Management Department.

DECISION:

Article 1. The framework for the consumption price of clean drinking water for residential households (including value-added tax) is set forth in the attached annex to this decision.

Article 2. This Decision shall take effect fifteen days from the date of publication in the Official Gazette. In accordance with the principles and methods for determining the consumption price of clean drinking water as provided in Circular Joint No. 104/2004/TTLT-BTC-BXD dated November 8, 2004 of the Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Construction, and the framework price specified in Article 1 above, the People's Committees of centrally governed cities and provinces shall determine specific consumption prices for clean drinking water at appropriate times (including rural clusters and industrial zones).
