CIRCULAR

ISSUING THE LIST OF PATHOGENIC MICROORGANISMS CAUSING INFECTIOUS DISEASES ACCORDING TO RISK GROUPS AND APPROPRIATE BIOSAFETY LEVELS FOR TESTING TECHNOLOGY

PURSUANTWHEREAS, the Law on Prevention and Control of Infectious Diseases dated November 21, 2007;WHEREAS, the Government's Decree No. 112/2016/ND-CP dated July 1, 2016, concerning the assurance of biosafety in laboratories;WHEREAS, the Government's Decree No. 63/2012/NĐ-CP dated August 31, 2012, concerning the functions, tasks, powers, and organizational structure of the Ministry of Health;CONSIDERING the proposal of the Director of the Preventive Medicine Department,

Based on Decree No. 103/201Decree No. 6/2016/NĐ-CP dated September 1, 2016 of the Government stipulating the functions, tasks, powers, and organizational structure of ministries and ministerial-level agencies; MINISTER OF HEALTH ISSUES this Circular to stipulate the list of pathogenic microorganisms causing infectious diseases according to risk groups and appropriate biosafety levels for testing technology.

Article 1. List of Pathogenic Microorganisms Causing Infectious Diseases According to Risk Groups and Appropriate Biosafety Levels for Testing TechnologyThe List of Pathogenic Microorganisms Causing Infectious Diseases According to Risk Groups and Appropriate Biosafety Levels for Testing Technology is attached hereto.

2. Circular No. 07/2012/TT-BYT dated May 14, 2012, issued by the Minister of Health, stipulating the list of pathogenic microorganisms causing infectious diseases according to risk groups and appropriate biosafety levels for testing technology shall cease to be effective from the date this Circular takes effect. In the course of implementation, if there are any difficulties, organizations and individuals are requested to promptly report to the Ministry of Health (Preventive Medicine Department) for consideration and resolution./. reserve,

The Minister of Health issues the Circular to stipulate the list of pathogenic microorganisms causing infectious diseases according to risk groups and appropriate biosafety levels for testing techniques.The list of pathogenic microorganisms causing infectious diseases according to risk groups and appropriate biosafety levels for testing techniques is promulgated together with this Circular.

The list of pathogenic microorganisms causing infectious diseases according to risk groups and appropriate biosafety levels for testing techniques is promulgated along with this Circular.

Article 2. Effective Date

1. This Circular takes effect from January 1, 2017.

2. The Circular No. 07/2012/TT-BYT dated May 14, 2012, issued by the Minister of Health stipulating the list of pathogenic microorganisms causing infectious diseases according to risk groups and appropriate biosafety levels for testing techniques shall cease to be effective from the date this Circular takes effect.

In the course of implementation, if there are any difficulties, organizations and individuals are advised to promptly report them to the Ministry of Health (Preventive Medicine Department) for consideration and resolution./.
