THE MINISTER OF AGRICULTURE AND RURAL DEVELOPMENT

Pursuant to Decree No. 86/2003/NĐ-CP dated July 18, 2003 of the Government on the functions, tasks, powers, and organizational structure of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development;

Pursuant to Article 5, 28, and 29 of the Plant Protection and Quarantine Ordinance promulgated on August 8, 2001;

Considering the proposal of the Director of the Plant Protection Department and the Head of the Science and Technology Department,

Pursuant to …;:

Article 1

a. Approve the formal registration of two types of drugs (including one fungicide and one herbicide) into the list of plant protection products permitted for use in Vietnam (attached list).

b. Approve the supplementary registration of 167 types of drugs (including 68 insecticides, 62 fungicides, 30 herbicides, 4 growth regulators, 2 snailcides, and 1 termite control product) into the list of plant protection products permitted for use in Vietnam (attached list).

c. Approve the special registration of 16 types of drugs (including 10 insecticides, 5 fungicides, and 1 termite control product) into the list of plant protection products permitted for use in Vietnam (attached list).

Article 2. The export and import of the plant protection products issued with this decision shall be carried out in accordance with Circular No. 62/2001/TT-BNN dated June 5, 2001 of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development guiding the export and import of goods under specialized agricultural management pursuant to Decision No. 46/2001/QĐ-TTg dated April 4, 2001 of the Prime Minister on the management of export and import of goods during the period 2001-2005 and Decision No. 145/2002/QĐ-BNN dated December 18, 2002 of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development.

Article 3. This Decision takes effect fifteen days from the date of publication in the Official Gazette.

Article 4. The Director of the Plant Protection Department, the Head of the Science and Technology Department, the Chief of the Ministry's Office, the Heads of units under the Ministry, and organizations, individuals within the country and foreigners managing, producing, trading, and using plant protection products in Vietnam are responsible for implementing this decision.
